Mémoire

Casa Limón artist Tali Rubinstein is an Israeli recorder player, singer and composer (for Latin GRAMMY Award winning album), based in New York City. Originating in classical music and delving into jazz and modern music, Tali challenges the boundaries of the recorder, and has gained international recognition for her exceptional talent, and for her extraordinarily daring and unprecedented style of playing.

Exploring her musical and personal roots, Tali scrapes off the layers, in a new project that puts her voice in the center. Singing her original songs in Hebrew, Tali reveals compositions from the last 10 years that were never meant to be performed, based on intimate experiences and drawing from Jewish and Israeli melodies, classical baroque harmonies and improvisational fragments. Tali’s compositions evoke pain, vulnerability and transcendence.
